Happy Easter!

I received an order for an Easter Cake recently, with it being Easter and all ;).

I decided on a white sponge cake, cream cheese icing and 'eastery' decorations!

The customer was very happy and her children loved picking the speckled eggs off the cake!

Cupcakes

Ahhh! One of my favourite things to make!! These cupcakes were baked for a birthday party. For the chocolate cupcakes, we placed a piece of Cadbury's Top Deck Chocolate in the middle of each cupcake. I decorated it with chocolate icing (using real chocolate) and placing a white chocolate disc in the centre. (Think they tasted like chocolate..??).
The other half of the order was for Red Velvet cupcakes. Decorated with creamy cream cheese icing and pearls.

Lovely, delicious and festive!

Cheese Wedding Cake

We had another request for a Wedding Cake made of Cheese. The couple requested that we use mild, easy-to-eat cheeses. We used a fresh Asiago round for the bottom layer, stacked with two Brie rounds and a smaller Camembert round. At the very top, we placed two heart shaped Philidelphia cheeses. Only Stroopwafel hearts and fresh figs were used for further decorations, keeping it nice and simple.

Vintage Birthday Cake

This was a birthday cake for a friend. The moist white sponge cake layers, were alternated with a pink sponge cake layer (4 layer cake). I used cream cheese icing, pearls, icing flowers and real rose petals for decorations.

Valentine's Cookies

A company ordered a couple of hundred biscuits for their customers. I baked these hearts from shortbread dough. They were lovely! Even the crumbs were polished off, I was told..
